Why am I being told that there is a VIN/VRM mismatch.

If you entered both the Registration and the VIN when setting up the check then we will perform a mismatch check in the background to confirm that these two pieces of information both belong to the same vehicle.

If they do not match then you will be told and be asked to choose whether to continue the check using the registration or the VIN. The mismatch could signal stolen vehicle and we advise that you do not proceed with the purchase until this has been clarified.
