The Vehicle ID provides confirmation of the vehicles physical details as first recorded by the manufacturer with the DVLA. This can confirm the make, model. door plan, fuel, engine size and other details. It will also highlight if the vehicle has had a colour change.
There are two dates included in this section that can help define the age of the vehicle. The date of manufacture is when the vehicle was produced, and the date of registration is when it was first registered to the DVLA. This can help determine if an 18 plate was produced at the start or the end of the time period.
You will also see the VIN disclosed for that Registration. This should match the VIN on the vehicle as this never changes through the vehicle’s lifetime.
